Privacy Policy

1. Everything stays on your device

PDF Invoices runs entirely in your browser. When you fill in contractor details, add line items, set tax rates, apply discounts, or upload your logo, none of that information is transmitted to any server. The PDF is generated locally using the jsPDF library and saved directly to your device — the file never passes through our infrastructure.

Invoice history and saved templates are stored in your browser's localStorage. This storage is private to your device and browser profile. We have no access to it.

2. What we do not collect

We do not collect, receive, or have access to:

• Your business name, address, email, or payment details
• Your clients' names, addresses, or contact information
• Invoice numbers, line items, amounts, or totals
• Uploaded logo images
• Saved templates or invoice history
• Generated PDF files

3. Local storage — Invoice History & Templates

PDF Invoices uses localStorage for two features:

• Invoice History — a record of invoices you have generated (number, client name, date, total). This lets you browse and reload past invoices without re-entering data.
• Templates — up to 5 named snapshots of your invoice setup, so you can quickly populate the form for recurring clients or project types.

Both are stored exclusively in your browser. Clearing your browser's site data or using a different browser or device will remove them. We recommend exporting important invoices as PDFs for long-term records.

4. No advertising, tracking, or data selling

PDF Invoices does not run any advertising, third-party trackers, or analytics scripts that profile your behaviour. We do not sell, rent, share, or monetise any data in any form. The service is free because it is genuinely free — not because your data is the product.

5. Cookies

PDF Invoices does not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes. The application may use browser-native storage mechanisms (such as localStorage) solely for the functional features described above (history and templates).

6. Your logo

If you upload a business logo, it is converted to a Base64-encoded string in memory and used solely to render the PDF. It is not uploaded to any server. The logo is not persisted between sessions unless you save it as part of a template in localStorage.

7. Your controls

You are in full control of your data at all times:

• Clear invoice history — use the "Clear All" button on the History page to remove all saved records from localStorage.
• Delete templates — individual templates can be deleted from the Template Manager on the main form.
• Clear all data — clearing your browser's site data for this domain removes everything PDF Invoices has stored locally.

8. Children's privacy

PDF Invoices is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through this service, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

9. Changes to this policy

If our data practices ever change, we will update this page and revise the effective date at the top. Since all processing is local and we collect no personal data, material changes are unlikely — but we will be transparent if they occur.
