Your data stays on your device.
PDF Invoices is built around a simple principle: your invoice data belongs to you. We don't operate servers that receive, store, or process your invoices.
Effective date: April 21, 2026
Everything stays on your device
PDF Invoices runs entirely in your browser. When you fill in contractor details, add line items, set tax rates, apply discounts, or upload your logo, that invoice information is not transmitted to our servers. The PDF is generated locally using jsPDF and saved directly to your device.
Invoice history and saved templates are stored in your browser's localStorage. This storage is private to your device and browser profile. We have no access to it.
What we do not collect
We do not collect, receive, or have access to:
- Your business name, address, email, or payment details
- Your clients' names, addresses, or contact information
- Invoice numbers, line items, amounts, or totals
- Uploaded logo images
- Saved templates or invoice history contents
- Generated PDF files
Invoice History and Templates
PDF Invoices uses localStorage for two features:
A record of invoices you have generated so you can browse and reload past invoices without re-entering data.
Up to 5 named snapshots of your invoice setup, so you can quickly populate the form for recurring clients.
Both are stored exclusively in your browser. Clearing your browser's site data or using a different browser or device will remove them. Export important invoices as PDFs if you need long-term records.
Limited analytics, no advertising
PDF Invoices uses Google Analytics to measure aggregate site traffic such as page views and general usage patterns. We do not send your invoice contents, generated PDFs, saved templates, or invoice history to our servers. We do not run ads, sell personal data, or monetize your invoice data.
Cookies and browser storage
PDF Invoices may use browser storage such as localStorage for functional features like invoice history and templates. Third-party analytics technologies may also be used to measure site traffic. For the most current information, refer to your browser tools and Google's own privacy and cookie documentation.
Your logo
If you upload a business logo, it is converted to a Base64-encoded string in memory and used only to render the PDF. It is not uploaded to our servers. The logo is not persisted between sessions unless you save it as part of a template in localStorage.
You stay in control
Clear invoice history
Use the "Clear all" button on the History page to remove saved records from localStorage.
Delete templates
Individual templates can be deleted from the Template Manager on the main form.
Clear all data
Clearing your browser's site data for this domain removes everything PDF Invoices has stored locally.
Children's privacy
PDF Invoices is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the invoice generator itself.
Changes to this policy
If our data practices change, we will update this page and revise the effective date. We aim to keep the policy aligned with the product as it actually works.
